Hazy Motif releases cozy jazz, dark trap phonk, drift phonk and lofi from musicians who play their own instruments and musicians who compose with AI — side by side, credited the same way, judged on the same thing: does it sound like something worth hearing at 2am.

Most labels are picking a side. One camp treats AI music as a novelty to keep at arm's length; the other treats a human sitting at a piano as a relic. Hazy Motif doesn't buy either story.
A rainy jazz trio built from real chord voicings and a walking bassline, and a phonk cowbell loop built with an AI collaborator in the room — both take craft, both take taste, and both end up in the same catalog under the same standard: does the song hold up.
That's the bet. AI-accepting, not AI-only. Traditional musicians aren't being phased out here, and AI musicians aren't a gimmick tacked on for attention. It's one label, one sound, four artists proving it from different directions.
